Once you have achieved your Open Water Diver certification, you will want to learn more, the Advanced Open Water Diver program offers you the possibility of advancing in new environments. This course is recommended once you are certified in the initial course.

 

You will plan your learning schedule with your instructor choosing from a long list of Adventure Dives. There are two mandatory dives – Depth and Underwater Navigation – and you will choose the other three for a total of five dives.

During the Deep Adventure Dive, you will learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of diving deeper. The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive hones your compass navigation skills and helps you navigate better using flapping cycles, visual references, and time.

The other knowledge and skills you will acquire will vary with your interests and the adventures you have – photography, buoyancy control, fish identification, exploring wrecks and much more.

You can earn academic credit for the Advanced Open Water Diver course.

 

Also, if you join one of the excursions scheduled by Aquausb, we will take your dives into account as part of your advanced diving certification.

NOTE: When purchasing the Advanced GoPro, it includes the elearning study material, knowledge review and (5) open water dives at our Bahia Solano - Choco station.

As an advanced diver, you will frequent dives of 30 or 40 meters (100 to 140 feet) deep, remember that you must do a minimum surface interval of at least 18 hours before taking a flight or climbing wings of 300 meters in altitude.
