Solano Bay Station

We invite you to dive in Bahia Solano - Choco, at the Aquasub diving station. We are located in the Rocas de Cabo Marzo inn, so we also offer complete airfare plans from any city in Colombia, airport-hotel-airport transfers, accommodation, food and of course the PADI diving courses and plans. This area is characterized, like places like Gorgona or Cabo Corrientes, in offering a sea full of life with rocky bottoms dotted with corals typical of areas where currents are common. However, there are diving sites for all levels, if the plan is to do the Open Water Diver certification, there are places from 12 to 18 meters. If the plan is to do the certification in advanced diving we also have points from 18 to 40 meters. We also have the Go Pro program to reach Master Scuba Diver or PADI Divemaster.

When purchasing the manual of one of the courses we offer, the payment for your study material is deducted from the total value.

Discover Scuba Diving - Mini Diving Course

This program is designed for people interested in learning about scuba diving and who have never dived with this equipment. This plan is mid-morning, approximately 5 hours, and includes:

  • A theory session can be done e-learning using the digital materials we have at PADI

  • A training session in confined waters.

  • One or two open water dives to a maximum depth of 12 metres. If you are planning to take the programme with two dives, please ask for the price.

NOTE: The minimum age to do this program is 12 years old. If you are going to fly (take a plane), you must wait at least 12 hours on the ground. ( More information ).

PADI Scuba Diver

 

This course is aimed at a person who wants to go through the entire certification process in Bahia Solano and get their first PADI diving certification. It is ideal for people who, due to time, cannot take the entire Open Water Diver course. This course requires at least 1 day. To allow the student to arrive better prepared, the study material (manual) can be assigned in advance so that the topics can be studied and verifications and evaluations are made through review sessions via zoom.us. Includes:

  • PADI digital e-Learning study material

  • Review of theory virtually via zoom.us

  • Reception at our diving station - Posada Rocas de Cabo Marzo

  • First day of confined water skills sessions.

  • Second day, two open water dives to a maximum depth of 12 meters

  • Certification card issued once course requirements have been met.

Local Diving - Adventure Diving

We have designed this program for certified divers who wish to explore and do dives in the sites we have in Bahia Solano, it includes:

​

  • Reception at our diving station - Posada Rocas de Cabo Marzo

  • Registration and form of documents for the start of the activity

  • Diving trip to two different diving spots

  • Snack between dives

  • The dives are carried out according to the certification level of the divers and the time since the last dive. Maximum 40 meters.

Referal Student- Referred Diver

This program is aimed at divers who have taken their theory training from their diving course and their confined water training and who wish to become certified with us. For this you must arrive with your reference document given to you by the diving center where you received your initial training. Includes:

​

  • Reception at our diving station - Posada Rocas de Cabo Marzo

  • Registration and signing of documents for the start of the activity.

  • Two days of diving in each of them, two dives will be made in different points and in each dive there will be a skills evaluation.

  • If it is an Open Water Diver, the maximum depth will be 18 meters.

PADI Integrated Open Water Diver Course

This course is aimed at a person who can do the entire process in Bahia Solano and obtain their PADI diving certification. For this course you need at least 3 days. To allow the student to arrive better prepared, the study material (manual) can be assigned in advance so that the topics can be studied and verifications and evaluations are carried out through zoom.us review sessions. Includes:

​

  • PADI digital e-Learning study material

  • Theory review virtually by zoom.us

  • Reception at our diving station - Posada Rocas de Cabo Marzo

  • First day confined water skills sessions.

  • Second day, two open water dives to a maximum of 12 meters

  • Third day, two open water dives to a maximum of 18 meters

  • Delivery of certification card once the course requirements have been met.

Integrated Advanced Diving Course - PADI

 

This course is aimed at divers who already have the Open Water Diver level and who wish to level up. For this course you need at least two days of practice where you do (5) adventure dives in open waters. Before doing the theory, we can assign the digital e_Learning material in advance, so you will arrive prepared to do your dives and obtain the PADI certification. Includes:

  • PADI e-Learning Study Material

  • Review of the theory in virtual form by zoom.us

  • Reception at our diving station - Posada Rocas de Cabo Marzo

  • First day, three adventure dives

  • Second day two adventure dives maximum 30 meters

  • Delivery of certification card once the course requirements have been met

Integrated Rescue Diver and EFR PADI Course

This course is aimed at certified divers at the advanced level who wish to level up. For this course you need at least three days of practice, where you do one training session in confined water and four open water dives in two days. Before doing the theory, we can assign the digital e_Learning material in advance, so you will arrive prepared to do your dives and obtain the PADI certification. Includes:

​

  • PADI e-Learning study material for the rescue and EFR course

  • Knowledge review virtually by zoom.us

  • Reception at our diving station- Posada Rocas de Cabo Marzo

  • First day confined water training and EFR land training

  • Second day you practice two dives in open water

  • Third day you practice two open water dives.

  • Delivery of the Rescue Diver and EFR certification cards, once the requirements of each course have been met

PADI Divemaster Course

 

This course is aimed at divers certified at the Rescue Diver level. For this course, a minimum of 20 days is needed where the candidate will do an internship at our station, participating in the usual activities that take place at the station. Includes:

  • e-Learning digital study material

  • Knowledge review virtually by zoom.us

  • Reception at our diving station- Posada Rocas de Cabo Marzo

  • 20 days of training at our station where you will participate in all the activities that are done in an open water diving center.

  • Accompaniment sessions for divers who are participating in activities at the station.

  • Certification at the end of the entire process once all requirements are met.

PADI Wreck Diving Specialty - Sunken Ships

 

This PADI specialty course is aimed at certified divers who wish to expand their knowledge and obtain a new certification credential. Includes:

  • PADI e-Learning Study Material

  • Review of the theory in virtual form by zoom.us

  • Reception at our diving station - Posada Rocas de Cabo Marzo

  • First day, two dives at the Sebastian de Belarcazar wreck

  • Second day two dives to complete your specialty

  • Delivery of certification card once the course requirements have been met

Whale watching plan 2024

​

Bahia Solano, like destinations such as Bahia Málaga, famous for being the arrival area of ​​the Yubarta whales, offers calm waters within the Bay that are ideal for observing these large aquatic mammals. The sighting season begins from July to mid-October. It includes:

​

  • Airfare from the main cities of Colombia

  • Transfer airport - hotel - airport

  • Accommodation 3 nights - 4 days

  • Full board meal 3 breakfasts - 3 lunches - 3 dinners

  • 4 dive plan with autonomous equipment

  • Plan a day out to go whale watching

PADI Freediver or Apnea Diving Course

 

This course is aimed at divers who want to specialize in freediving or freediving. For this course you need at least two days of practice where confined water work is done on the first day and guided dives in open water on the second day. Before doing the theory, we assign the e_Learning digital material, so you will arrive prepared to do your dives and obtain certification as a PADI Freediver. Includes:

  • PADI e-Learning Study Material

  • Review of the theory in virtual form by zoom.us

  • Reception at our diving station - Posada Rocas de Cabo Marzo

  • First day, practice in confined waters or similar place 

  • Second day of guided apnea or freediver practices 

  • Delivery of certification card once the course requirements have been met

PADI Adventure Diver Course

​

 

This course is aimed at divers who already have the Open Water Diver level and who wish to level up, but who cannot dedicate more than one day due to time constraints. For this course, at least one day of practice is required where ( 3) open water adventure dives. Before doing the theory, we can assign the digital e_Learning material in advance, so you will arrive prepared to do your dives and achieve the PADI certification.

Includes:

​

  • PADI e-Learning Study Material

  • Review of the theory in virtual form by zoom.us

  • Reception at our diving station - Posada Rocas de Cabo Marzo

  • Three adventure dives (wreck, buoyancy mastery, fish identification, drift diving

  • Once the course execution requirements have been met, the PADI certification card is delivered. This level allows you to dive more than 18 meters.
